Vice-Chancellor Inspects Ultra-Modern Laboratory Project At Adako Jachie

The Vice-Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Ing. Prof Osei-Wusu Achaw on Tuesday June 22, 2021, paid a working visit to the Adako Jachie campus of the Technical University to inspect the ongoing turn-key Ghana-China (AVIC International) project on the ‘Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Equipment in Polytechnics and Technical Institutes (Including Technical Universities)’.

The Office Of The Dean Of Students Organises A Workshop For Hall Masters/Hall Tutors And Porters

The Office of the Dean of Students has organised a workshop for Hall Masters, Senior Hall Tutors, Hall Tutors and Porters. The workshop which took place at the Great Hall was aimed at creating a platform to discuss issues about the management of halls of residence in the University and also acquire relevant knowledge in managing students in our various Halls, and also enhance the skills and competencies of the Porters and Hall masters.

KsTU Registrar Donates To Asuoyeboa Basic School

The Registrar of Kumasi Technical University, Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye has in a call for support from Government donated books to the Asuoyeboa Basic School. The books which are for all classes from Basic 1 to 6, covers the English, Maths and Science subject areas. 

Donating the books, Mr. Boakye noted that the Government has a lot of projects to support and thus as a private person decided to help meet the needs. He further called on other philanthropists and well-meaning Ghanaians to come to the aid of such schools.

More Scholarships Made Available to the Students of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU)

Officials of Eleos Partners Foundation have paid a courtesy call on the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology Dr. Kofi Agyarko Ababio at the main campus of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) with the intention of extending financial support to students, among other things. Eleos Partners is a US-based nonprofit organisation aiming to support various community initiatives predominantly managed locally with a particular interest in education, health and well-being as well as crisis support.

Vice-Chancellor Cuts Sod for the Construction of a Five -Storey Block at Adako Jachie

The Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof Osei-Wusu Achaw of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has cut the sod for the commencement of the construction of a five-storey building at Adako Jachie to house two of its faculties. They are the Faculty of Creative Arts and Technology (FCAT) and the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST).

The Vice-Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) Ing. Prof Nana Osei-Wusu Achaw together with a section of his team paid a working visit to the Mayor of Kumasi Hon. Osei Asibey Antwi to further deepen the working relationship and collaboration that has existed between Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and the Technical University. The new areas of further collaboration include sanitation, fire education, energy conservation, revenue collection and inculcation of the spirit of volunteerism among the youth within the Kumasi metropolis.

The Graduate School of Kumasi Technical University has held a seminar for graduate students to educate them in the selection of their research topics, presentation skills, writing skills, plagiarism issues and student-supervisor relationships. 

The Guidance And Counselling Unit Holds A Workshop For Departmental Counsellors

The Guidance and Counselling Unit of Kumasi Technical University has held a workshop for counselling representatives for the various departments. The one day workshop which was held at the Council Chamber had as its theme “Managing the present day students: the skills departmental counsellors need”. The workshop was facilitated by Mad. Felicia Ofosuaa Tettey and Mrs Agnes Anim from the Guidance and Counselling Unit of the University.
