More Scholarships Made Available to the Students of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU)

Officials of Eleos Partners Foundation have paid a courtesy call on the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology Dr. Kofi Agyarko Ababio at the main campus of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) with the intention of extending financial support to students, among other things. Eleos Partners is a US-based nonprofit organisation aiming to support various community initiatives predominantly managed locally with a particular interest in education, health and well-being as well as crisis support.

The visit mainly centered on bringing on board brilliant-but-needy students in the Faculty and the students from the University in general to apply for the newly instituted scholarship from Eleos Partners Foundation. Kumasi Technical University is the first Technical University in Ghana to be invited to participate in the Eleos Partners scholarship scheme in Ghana after Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of Ghana.

Mr Patrick Gilliland, an official of Eleos Partners Foundation, expressed his joy for the partnership and assured the University of the Foundation’s continuous support for needy students. On her part, Prof Shirley another official of the Foundation also indicated that the organisation was passionate to see many needy students live up to their full potential in their various chosen fields.

The Dean, Dr Kofi Agyarko Ababio, on behalf of the Faculty and the University, thanked Mr Patrick Gilliland and Prof Shirley Dale who were the two officials of Eleos Partners Foundation for choosing Kumasi Technical University to be a partner in such a genuine and worthy course. He further reiterated that the invitation extended to the needy students in the University would support them in acquiring a university qualification and most importantly, to experience a stress-free tertiary education devoid of financial challenges.
