Vice-Chancellor Inaugurates Led Billboard

A ceremony has been held to inaugurate a LED Digital Billboard on campus. The idea of the billboard which was conceived by the 2020/2021 Students Representative Council (SRC) is installed in front of the B- Block on the main Campus of KsTU.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof Osei-Wusu Achaw, noted that the installation of the billboard was in line with the idea of digitizing the University and achieving a world-class status.  The SRC embarked on this project to enhance the dissemination of information. The LED billboard is a current way of advertising programmes and events as well as disseminating information to members of the University community and the general public.

The Dean of Students, Dr. Engmann  noted that henceforth, all Colleges, Directorates, Faculties, Schools, Institutes, Departments and other offices within the University as well as the students body can channel information about their events, programmes and other activities for advertisement on the digital billboard. However, it should be noted that those who advertise on the billboard would be expected to pay a token to defray some of the maintenance costs. The Dean of Students further mentioned that there are plans for a similar billboard to be mounted at the Adako Jachie campus.

The billboard could be operated from anywhere in the world with the availability of the internet. Other members of staff present at the ceremony included the Registrar, Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye and some members of Senior Management. The 2001/2002 SRC President and the current SRC president and his executives were also present.
