The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Kumasi Technical University has donated 35 projectors at the cost of GHS94, 500.00 to the University. The 2018/2019 SRC indicated that as part of the Council’s contribution to teaching and learning on campus, the body deems it appropriate to donate those equipment to enhance the delivery of lectures and learning processes.

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has completed a four – storey building complex at its Adako Jachie campus. The Six Million Ghana Cedi (GH₡ 6,000,000) complex which is mainly meant for lectures and office accommodation was constructed by AECON Complex Limited with an internally generated fund from KsTU.

The Business Sector Advocacy (BUSAC) Fund and Leather Bags Manufacturers Association have co-funded a four-day capacity building workshop for members of the Leather Bags Manufacturers Association in Kumasi. The collaboration between the BUSAC Fund and the Association is led by the Institute of Research, Innovation and Development (IRID) of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) which also convened the workshop. The workshop was organized under the theme ‘Promoting the marketability of made in Ghana leather products’.

 The Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Prof.  Kwabena  Frimpong-Boateng has hinted that the Technical Universities have a crucial role to play in the development of the country. He made this statement during the 5th International Conference on Applied Science and Technology (ICAST) organised by Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region. The Conference which is organised annually by the University had as its theme “Skills Acqusition and Job Creation through Science, Technology and Innovation for National Development”.
