Brief Bio: 

Dr. George Owusu-Dapaah is the immediate past Vice Rector of Kumasi Polytechnic. He is a Senior Lecturer and has been a faculty member of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (formerly Department of Dispensing Technology) since 1994. He is a registered pharmacist and has been a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana from 1988. He is also a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Technology and Management Research (IJTMR).

Dr. Owusu-Dapaah received his PhD from the University of Strathclyde (2008), and his M.Pharm (1994) / B.Pharm (1987) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). His current research interests are in the areas of anti-sickling agents from natural products, ligand approach to drug discovery through pharmacophore generation, and synthesis of quinazoline-2,4-diones and 1,4-benzodiazepine-2,5-diones for the treatment of trypanosomiasis and leishmaniasis.
