Dr. Mrs. Patricia Owusu-Darko completed Aburi Girls’ Secondary School. She furthered her education at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana where she had both her Bachelor of Science (honours) degree and Master of Philosophy in Biochemistry. She was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom.

She became the Head of for the Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management Department of the University from 1993 to 2003 and 2010 to 2011.

She was the Director of the Office of International Affairs and International Linkages since 2011 to 2016 , where she is vigorously helping to position the University as a globally competitive educational brand, and extracting benefits for the University in all its dealings with institutions and other partners.
