Bachelor of Technology in Applied Statistics (Financial Statistics)

  1. SSSCE Applicants Holders who have credit passes (A-D) in the following three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits (A-D) in three elective subjects with an aggregate score of 24 or better in the relevant area of study (including Agricultural Science or General Science or General Arts with Geography and Economics options or Business with Elective Mathematics option).
  2. WASSCE Applicants Holders who have credit passes (A1-C6) in the following three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits (A1-C6) in three elective subjects with an aggregate score of 24 or better in the relevant area of study (including Agricultural Science or General Science or General Arts with Geography and Economics options or Business with Elective Mathematics option).
  3. GCE “O” and “A” Level Applicants Holders with credits in at least five (5) subjects at the GCE 'O' Level (or its equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics, plus at Three (3) passes in the relevant subjects at the Advanced Level obtained in five (5) years and above.
  4. HND and Diploma Applicants
    1. HND Applicant must have graduated with a good HND certificate (at least, Second-Class Lower Division) in Statistics will be admitted to third year (i.e. 5th Semester).
    2. Other Diploma Qualifications Two-year Accredited Diploma in Statistics applicants with at least Second-Class Lower will be considered for admission to Level Two Hundred.
  5. Mature Applicants Must be 25 years old with legitimate documentary proof which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application, must pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by KsTU, may have to attend and pass an interview. Evidence of working experience will be an added advantage.  
  6. Foreign Applicants Academic records of foreign applicants will be referred to GTEC for the determination of qualification equivalence and eligibility for admission as well as placement.
