KsTU’s Lecturer Featured In World Scientist And University Rankings 2021: Dr. Collins Ameyaw In Focus

The World Scientist and University Rankings 2021 ranked lecturers for their research work and the impact on their various universities. Two (2) of Kumasi Technical University’s (KsTU) lecturers were captured in its latest monitoring work.

According to the rankings, Ing. Dr. Edem Cudjoe Bensah a senior lecturer of the University came top with a subject area in Engineering & Technology / Chemical Engineering and Ing. Dr. Collins Ameyaw whose subject area is Economics & Econometrics / Accounting & Finance followed as second in the University. They ranked 334th and 482th respectively among all lecturers in Ghana.

Dr, Cudjoe Bensah holds MSc. Mechanical Engineering (Thermofluids and Energy Systems) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana in the year 2009. Currently he is a senior lecturer in Kumasi Technical University and HoD in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He has a very good years of experience and an author of many research publications.

Dr. Ameyaw is a senior lecturer at KsTU. He holds a Doctor of Engineering degree from the Bauhaus University, Weimar, Germany and MSc. Construction Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. Collins is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Professional Member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and has over 10 years of experience in Public Procurement Training and Procurement Auditing, and over 15 years of experience in Infrastructure Project Management. He is an author of over 20 peer reviewed Journal and Conference Articles, 2 Monographs and a reviewer of  5 reputable International Journals including: Taylor and Francis, Emerald Publications, Elsevier, Springer Publications and Global Scholars.

These rankings are a testament to KsTU’s resolve to become a world-class Technical University that develops leaders for the global stage through the provision of superb technical education, and dissemination of pertinent cutting-edge research works that address national and global developmental needs. 

The other lecturers in the list are from the University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), University of Cape Coast (UCC), the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), the Koforidua Technical University (KTU) and the Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) among others.

In all, a total of 706,043 scientists/lecturers from 187 countries and 11,518 universities were involved in the exercise. Ghana had 627 scientists/lecturers and 32 Universities featured in the ranking exercise.
