FACE MASKS

DO’S

1. Wear to cover nose, mouth and chin without leaving gaps on the sides,

2. Clean hands before touching (i.e. before wearing or removing),

3. Remove by strap from ear or head,

4. Wash with soap/detergent (in hot water) on daily basis to be re-used,

5. Place in clean resealable plastic bag if it is to be re-used,

6. Always hold by the strap,

7. Fabric masks must have three (3 layers),

8. Not advisable to use again after about three (3) washings.

DON’TS

1. Do not use damaged, dirty or wet mask,

2. Do not use loose mask,

3. Do not use mask that is difficult to breathe through,

4. Do not share used masks with others.

NOTE

• If used properly mask protects you and others around you from COVID-19.

• Continuous washing opens/increases pore sizes in the mask fabric and increases chances of the virus passing through.
