Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering

  1. SSSCE Applicants: Applicants with Credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus a minimum of grade D in three (3) elective subjects in Elective Mathematics and Chemistry and any other Science based elective subject such as Physics.
  2. WASSCE Applicants: Applicants with Credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus a minimum of C6 in three (3) elective subjects in Elective Mathematics and Chemistry and any other Science based elective subject such as Physics.
  3. GCE “O” and “A” Level GCE 'O' Level credit passes in five (5) subjects including English, Mathematics and Chemistry plus three (3) passes in GCE 'A' Level Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
  4. HND and Diploma Applicants HND Chemical Engineering applicants with a minimum of second-class lower will be admitted at third year. HND Chemical Engineering applicants with first class and second-class upper honours Applicants with other Engineering and Chemistry backgrounds would be required to take relevant Chemical Engineering and Chemistry courses as prerequisites.
  5. Mature Applicants Must be 25 years old with legitimate documentary proof which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application, must pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by KsTU, may have to attend and pass an interview. Evidence of working experience will be an added advantage.
  6. Foreign Applicants: Academic records of foreign applicants will be referred to GTEC for the determination of qualification equivalence and eligibility for admission as well as placement.
