Two Graduate Students Awarded Scholarship Under The Erasmus + Exchange Mobility Programme

Two students offering MTech in Chemical Engineering were selected through a competitive application to win a scholarship to Germany. The students, selected on merit, are Bright Amponsem and Isaac Mensah.

Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, the Director for the office of International Affairs and Institutional Linkages of Kumasi Technical University in his address disclosed that the two student were selected through a very competitive application to be awarded the scholarship.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor of the University Ing. Prof. Osei-Wusu Achaw charged the students to be ambassadors of the University. He advised the awardees to be guided by the good personal principles they have learned and urged them to stay in contact with the Director of International Affairs. He also thanked Dr Addo Koranteng, the Head of Institute for Research, Innovation and Development for helping to make the programme a success.

In his part, Dr. Addo Koranteng who is also the coordinator for the  programme  emphasized  the need for the scholarship beneficiaries to work closely with mentors who will infuse in them the right values, knowledge and skills to make their stay successful. He further advised them to distinguish themselves so that they brighten the chance for other students and staff in the coming years.

Speaking to the Senior Management, the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the award of the scholarship and declared their commitment to excel as they leave the country for their studies overseas. Others members of staff present at the ceremony were the Pro Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar and the Head of Department for Chemical Engineering among others.
