Former VC donates books to the University Library

A former Interim Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) Prof. Asiamah Yeboah, has donated books worth over GHS 19,000 to the Institution at a short ceremony in the University. Prof. Asiamah served as the Interim Vice-Chancellor between 2017 and January 2019.

Donating to the Institution, Prof. Asiamah Yeboah noted that during his term of office, he realized that books relating to Business Administration and Marketing were not adequate for students, hence, his decision to acquire those books for them. As a firm believer in corporate social responsibility (CSR), he believes that donating the books to the Institution will give him the feeling of psychic satisfaction.

He intimated that the University has given him the opportunity to further his education, even after leaving office. He was therefore, using the opportunity to express his appreciation. The 27 books donated included a copy of his second PhD thesis. He expressed optimism that if the students study and read the books, it will equip them and enhance their research as well.

Receiving the books, the Vice-Chancellor of Kstu, Prof. Osei-Wusu Achaw expressed his appreciation to the former VC and urged other lecturers at the University to emulate his gesture. He was optimistic that the library will ensure that the books are kept well for the students to fully utilize them.

Present at the ceremony were the Registrar of the University, Mr. Ebenezer Kofi Boakye, Dean of Business School, Dr. Alfred Owusu and other members of staff.
